Gamers, dorks, geeks, urban crafters, gutter punks, bikers, trivia junkies, model train builders, basement programmers, and even those without sub-cultural interests (are you just hiding something?) are great people. We know it. For sure.

With that in mind, we’re put on our first fund raising event in October 2009 for Children’s of Minnesota and Child’s Play charities. There are sick kids out there who could really use some fun, and video games can do that extraordinarily well when you’re laid up. You’ve got a few bucks, right? You’d maybe spend a couple of those on a beer and the rest could go to a great cause, right? Right?

So people came out, played some Rock Band (upsettingly loud, with rock ‘n roll stage lighting, and a captive audience, even), and won some amazing stuff in a drawing of things you’d be lusting for.
