We rock, the kids win. And if we do it right, they'll win big

What’s the Plan, Stan?
Be Excellent to Each Other is a charity fundraiser to benefit children’s charities, both nationwide and in Minnesota. Our first event was October 23rd, 2009 and (if we can be so immodest) was really fun! We’re planning another and details will go up here as soon as anything’s decided. The core idea of rock n’ roll, gaming, art, and local venues combined with easy and fun ways for the rest of us to donate what we can are going to be crucial from year to year. Thanks for your support!

What is this deal?
We’re working on the next event, since the first was such a great time! Details will go up here as they develop. In the meantime, why not become a fan on FaceBook? We’ll be adding follow-up about the event and the work of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of MN and Child’s Play (the two beneficiaries of our first event) as stuff comes up.

The Big Players for 2009’s event:

Child’s Play

Since 2003, over 100,000 gamers worldwide have banded together through Child’s Play, a community based charity grown and nurtured from the game culture and industry. Over 3.5 million dollars in donations of toys, games, books and cash for sick kids in children’s hospitals across North America and the world have been collected since our inception.

Children’s of Minnesota

Serving as Minnesota’s children’s hospital since 1924, we are the seventh-largest children’s health care organization in the U.S., with 332 staffed beds at our two hospital campuses in St. Paul and Minneapolis. Children’s offers services to all children who seek medical care, without regard to availability of insurance or the family’s ability to pay, in the form of charity care.
